Outfit Post: {Colourful and Quirky}

a girly nerdcolourful outfit 5

Wohoo Saturday. Well if you have actual Saturday night plans you might feel that way. Me? I’m currently checking out some blogs and writing my own posts with some hockey in the background (how Canadian of me).

So today I wore this outfit to an orientation for becoming a teaching assistant. It’s not overly exciting but I thought the excess of colour was at least somewhat daring of me. Like I said in yesterday’s post, I’m trying to be more creative with my outfit choices. I actually came up with this outfit when writing my post from yesterday. Remember “a girly nerd“? Well here it is on me. I was going to take these pictures outside but it was way too cold and windy for that. What do you think? I love to hear opinions.

colourful outfit 1Please try and ignore my chipped nails. Keeping up with painting my nails is one of my worst flaws. I can only be bothered to paint them once and week, and therefore we get nails like that below picture. Sad.

Here’s the shirt without the sweater. I think the sleeves are pretty cool and should be shared.

Funny story. You may have realized that in the original styling of this outfit, I used a lighter shade of jean. And this is what happened:

ripped jeansPerhaps I should be offended that when I put my jeans on, I get a rip like this, especially because the same thing happened a couple months ago (wrote about it in this post)

Anyway, hope you all are having a more exciting Saturday night than me! Tomorrow some weekly iphone photos should be up. Thanks so much for reading, and remember you can FOLLOW (button at the bottom right or sidebar)

    Lynn! I Love your blog! Like literally, love! I’ve only recently started getting really into it. I think your pictures and designs are just too perfect.
    Thank you for all the compliments. They seriously make my day!
    It’s nice to have a fellow Canadian commenting. You can understand the hockey craz. It feels like an essential part of the culture is back (not that it’s really my thing, but I still like it as background noise lol)
    Thank you for your kind words :)

    I used to rip my pants all the time (embarissing) so now I always buy pants with a lot of stretch that way i can get them as tight as I want and not have to worry about splitting my pants in public. Really cute outfit though!

      My poor ripped jeans. I definitely have to take your advice and start getting some really stetchy ones. I have a pair of jeggings from American Eagle that feel like could last me my whole life ahah
