Outfit Post: {Winter Style}

Ugh Monday and back to school. Only one class for me today, though! Perfect for getting a post up. Today I decided to venture outside and get a couple shots of some of my favourite winter items (of course my camera died before I could get too many).

I bought this coat from Fairweather after Christmas. It’s probably the best deal I’ve ever found! Got it for $50 when it originally cost $160. I was proud of that one. At first when I got it home I didn’t like it, but I’ve come to be a fan. It has cool buttons on the front, which are difficult to see because of my scarf. I found a similar one here, but it’s kind of pricey. You can still check it out.

This is what happens when you suddenly realize you have no battery left on your camera: half-face shots, or pissed off faces (check out that face in the bottom left corner…grump)

So if you haven’t realized I’m a big fan of purple (hence the colour of the blog), which extends into my Christmas gifts. Both the scarf and hat were Christmas gifts from my brother (he may have had some help, but regardless, awesome picks). Both hat and scarf are from Aldo.

So I’m not oddly waving in the last picture. I’m trying to highlight a really cool part of my gloves: I can text with them on. I have an iPhone, meaning my phone is touch-screen. Usually it’s a pain to try and text when you’re wearing gloves (taking them on and off), but the way these gloves are made, allows me to text with them on. The material on the thumb and pointer finger are made so that a touch screen picks up on the heat from your finger, allowing you to keep the glove on while texting. Pretty cool, right? When I first got them (again, from my brother) I thought about returning them, because they weren’t really me. I’m not a fan of plain black (no sparkles, polka-dots, or bows! tragedy), but then I realized how practical they were, plus black goes with everything. I highly suggest getting yourself a pair. Here is a link to the pair I’m wearing (gloves).

Hope everyone had/is having a lovely Monday. And to all those students who went back to school today, I feel your pain.

    You look very cozy! Also, I’m glad you decided to keep the texting gloves. Practical AND cute!
